Hudson Nissan Donates the "Roper Rogue" to Assist Those in Need

Hudson Nissan is driven to help those in need. That’s why we proudly donated a brand-new Nissan Rogue SUV to the Greer Transitions Clinic, nicknamed the “Roper Rogue.” With this vehicle, the clinic will be able to serve at least 40 percent of their patients, giving access to both transportation and necessary resources to areas with a transition barrier.

Amanda Biondi, program director at the Greer Transitions Clinic said, "At this clinic, we not only do primary and preventative care, but we also address the social determinants of health, and transportation is one of the biggest barriers that our patients have to healthcare. The patients that we serve here otherwise wouldn’t have good access to healthcare."

Founded in 2015, the Greer Transitions Clinic helps unfunded and/or underfunded patients get medical care and a medical home. Within its first year of opening, the clinic had helped reduce ER visits by 1,500 and save the healthcare system $3.5 million, as well as decrease inpatient admissions by nearly 200. Currently, the clinic continues to expand to meet the healthcare needs of approximately 2,000 patients a year.
